Tropico 6 Beta Now Live for Those Who Pre-Order the Game

Tropico 6 Beta

El Presidente will join us again in January 2019 for the sixth installment of the incredibly successful Tropico series. We are still a couple of months away from the release, but the good news is coming from Kalypso, the publisher of the franchise. Everyone who pre-ordered the game via their official store now has the chance of playing Tropico 6 Beta!

The bad news is that the testing version is not available for the rest of the public, although it was announced via Steam in August. Kalypso mentioned that we can expect the beta in autumn, which means that there is a good chance it will appear soon. If you are impatient, you can visit the Kalypso store and pre-order the game immediately, which will secure you a 10% discount aside from instant access to the beta.

What Features Can We Expect in Tropico 6?

Tropico 6 will bring some changes to the franchise with the most notable one being the development team behind the sequel. Haemimont Games, a studio from Bulgaria that designed here previous installments, does not participate in the creation of this release. Instead, the developing has been trusted to Limbic Entertainment, a studio from Germany known for Might and Magic Heroes VII.

When it comes to the game itself, a crucial new feature will be archipelagos with multiple islands that will enable you to create public transport systems, tunnels, and bridges. We are sure that you want to know more about the El Presidente, our favorite dictator of all times. You will be able to change his outfits, purchase palaces, and various residences, as well as modify speeches for the election.

The essence of Tropico 6 will remain the same as in previous installments. You will have the task of building a city into your very own empire. Taking care of aspects like erecting housing structures and trading managing will be equally important as finding dissenters and eliminating them.

Kalypso released a weird trailer for the game which entirely fits the overall wackiness of the series.

Besides programming and cars, I love video games and I have a huge passion for tech. That's why I'm up to date with every new thing that comes out. In my spare time I write because I enjoy sharing my ideas and thoughts with people.
