It is less than a week away from the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. Everyone is excited as we know that Rockstar knows how to make tremendous games, but some of us are excited a bit more than others. RDR 2 is still officially announced only for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so the console owners definitely can’t wait for October 26 to arrive.
Fortunately, some good news seems to be arriving for PC players, too, and it is regarding the release of the game for PC. Actually, it is more of a potential leak than news, but we’ll take it. A few days ago, Media Markt published a listing in their online store in which they say they will be selling Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC in 2019. There is no date confirmation, but the year is clearly marked and the very fact that the listing is for PC speaks more than enough.
Now, it remains a mystery whether they know something more than we do or it is just a mistake. It seems that the administrators removed the listing after only a couple of hours, but that was to be expected. However, TechTastic, the website that published the news first, took a screenshot so that the readers would know that the listing was truly in the store at some point.
Now, as for the release date, you will notice that it is set at December 31, 2019, but it is the policy of online retailers to place the last date of the year when they do not know the exact release date. You can call that date a placeholder.
In case you do not know, and if you don’t that means you’ve been living in a box, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that will be a combination of adventure and action and it will feature a huge open-world. It is a sequel to the original and, aside from the single-player campaign, it will also feature online multiplayer.
As for the main story, you will be playing as a gang member Arthur Morgan. The storyline should give the player around 60 hours of playing before it is completed.
