Red Dead Online Might Feature a Battle Royale Mode

Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale

Take Two and Rockstar managed to meet the deadline that they set themselves when it comes to releasing Red Dead Online. It is the online mode of the Red Dead Redemption 2 and the beta version actually starts today.

Everyone is asking about the potential modes that you will have the chance to play. According to the inside information you can find online, one of the modes will be based on Battle Royale, the concept that has taken the gaming community by storm.

The name of the mode is Make It Count. In it, a total of 32 Red Dead Online players will fight to be the last outlaw remaining alive. The weapon selection will be severely restricted and the area of play will shrink gradually. Does that remind you of any other games?

This has been revealed on Twitter by someone with the nickname “illogicalmods.” According to their status, RDO players can expect multiple modes available. The multiplayer modes will feature multiple missions that remind of a campaign. Horley, a new outlaw that is being implemented for the purpose of the online RDR version, is in the focus of attention. What is interesting is that Armadillo, Tumbleweed, and some locales you might know from RDR 1 are making their return.

The Best Has Yet To Come

Although Red Dead Online is being released today, Rockstar emphasizes that it is not a polished version of the game. That is why they are announcing it as a beta which is understandable. When it comes to the Make It Count mode, perhaps the developers implement sessions where more than 32 players can participate later. It is interesting to note that Rockstar isn’t the first company who decided to implement a BR mode in their game. We have seen this in other AAA titles, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

The top priority will be to resolve any potential issues that may appear. The first group of players that are the only ones allowed to play today is those that purchased RDR Ultimate Edition. Those that play during day one will join tomorrow while players who tested the game during its initial week will get the chance to play the online version on Thursday. Finally, the last day of November will mark the beginning of beta for all players who have a copy of the game.
