Frontier Development Will Release a Completely New Game in 2019

Frontier Developments

Frontier Developments has been doing a solid job in developing great games in various genres. Their most notable releases include Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster, and Jurassic World Evolution. Everything seems to be doing good, which is confirmed in their interim results published on the London Stock Exchange.

According to that report, it was a record financial performance for the studio, which means there is enough money in the bank for another large project. The studio confirmed that we could expect another new game until the end of 2019. Furthermore, it will be a completely new title and an IP that was designed by the team.

Unfortunately, we do not know any details regarding the IP, but this is a definite confirmation that they are working on the next game. The studio plans to make an official announcement in the next several months. The release is set for “later in 2019” at this moment. However, they confirmed that we would get to play the game until the end of the calendar year and not the fiscal one. The chances are that Frontier Development is waiting for E3 or a similar big event for the official reveal, but that is okay, we can be patient.

If you are a fan of Jurassic World Evolution, you will be glad to know that Frontier plans to continue its support for the existing series. We recently saw an expansion named Secrets of Dr. Wu, but there are no indications whether there will be further add-ons. If you are interested in trying the game, you can purchase it via Steam and utilize the Lunar New Year sale to get a whopping 75% discount.

Besides programming and cars, I love video games and I have a huge passion for tech. That's why I'm up to date with every new thing that comes out. In my spare time I write because I enjoy sharing my ideas and thoughts with people.
