We love big updates to even bigger games! This is exactly what Treyarch delivered for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with their large update for Blackout. At the moment, the update seems to only be available on PlayStation 4, and it was released under the name Operation Zero.
The biggest changes it makes are related to the most popular Blackout mode of this first-person shooter. The first impression when we tried the revamped Blackout is that it is a real massacre! And we mean that in the most positive and literal sense.
The map in COD: Black Ops 4 Blackout has been changed. Among other things, a luxury yacht called Hijacked was added at one of its section (head to the northwest and you won’t be able to miss it). If you are a fan of the franchise, you might remember BO2 and this map being available in multiplayer. The problem with the new addition, just like with any other new thing appearing, is that everyone wants to try it!
As a result, there is a lot of killing on or near Hijacked. You might feel like you are starting your Blackout career all over again as you won’t be able to hold for more than a minute or two in the field. The playing space is quite limited, so the only way of standing some kind of a chance is to reach the yacht first and find a weapon. Unless you manage to that, make peace with the fact that you will be out of the session soon.
Not a Bad Addition Overall
Regardless of this, Hijacked is actually a great and interesting addition to the map. It will take several days for the starting popularity to wear off, but there is no doubt that the yacht will add dynamics to the playing experience.
In the meantime, we advise you to stick to other areas on the map. Not many people are there currently and you may benefit from that fact. So, if you haven’t unlocked the Asylum Zombies, now is a great chance for that.
