It has been over a decade since Kingdom Hearts II was released and many fans of the franchise gave up all hopes on a third sequel. However, when Square Enix confirmed the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3 to be 29th January 2019, our expectations started to grow. It seems that the developers know how long it has been from the last installment, which is why they are constantly offering new information about the game. In the latest piece of news, we got the chance to see some new screenshots, as well as the box art for KH 3.
It is the box art that has been in the focus of fans’ attention because it features plenty of characters that we get to chance to see throughout the game. The beautiful and detailed graphics certainly heat up our imagination just like eight new screenshots. There will be plenty of worlds themed by various Disney movies from the last decade or so. We can only hope that Square Enix will manage to deliver a title that won’t let down the expectations of fans that have been waiting for so long.
What Worlds Will Be Featured in Kingdom Hearts 3?
The list is extensive and everything started in 2015 when it was revealed that Hercules and Mount Olympus will play a major role within the game. As for the new worlds, expect Tangled to be featured with the Kingdom of Corona, as well as Andy’s home from Toy Story and Big Hero Six’s San Fransokyo. The lovers of Frozen will be delighted with the information that Olaf, Elsa, Anna, and other heroes from the movie will appear along with the Arendelle. There is a good chance that we will see Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as Monsters from Monsters, Inc.
When it comes to the worlds we know from the previous franchise, we will surely see Twilight Town, Yen Sid’s Tower and Old Mansion.
Although the release is scheduled for next year, you can already preorder the game. The standard edition costs $59.99, while the deluxe version is $79.99. For now, Kingdom Hearts 3 has been confirmed for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
