Spring is getting near, and everyone wants to spend more time outside. There are not many things that could keep you indoors, except for rainy weather and Battlefield 5 Battle Royale. Yes, you’ve read that final part correctly – it seems that everything is ready for the release of Firestorm, the official name of the BF5 BR.
One of the users on Reddit revealed that his list of challenges involved playing Firestorm and collecting 500 points while playing it. As we all know that the BR mode still isn’t officially released, that makes us believe that we can expect it in the coming days. Either that or the developers made an honest mistake and included the challenge in the list by accident.
As PC Gamer discusses, the only official info we have on the release time of Battlefield 5 Firestorm is that it will be available during spring for most of the planet (Australians will have to be patient until Autumn). Theoretically, the spring hasn’t even started yet, and it will last by the middle of June, but the reveal on Reddit is encouraging.
Although Battlefield V is a solid addition to the franchise, it still got nowhere close to the Call of Duty, whose developers made a great call by offering the Blackout BR mode. Electronic Arts is now hoping that is the road to saving this edition on BF.
How Will the Battlefield 5 Firestorm Look Like?
As the developers revealed, 16 teams will get the chance of fighting it out on the biggest map that the Battlefield franchise has ever seen. Each team will have four players, which means 64 players per session.
We also expect a wide range of available weapons and vehicles, including tanks. The authors insist that tanks will be valuable, but they won’t make you indestructible. The trick will be in choosing the right vehicles depending on the situation in the battle.
No detailed information is available about spawning, but there are rumours that squad members will have the chance of reviving their teammates.
It remains to be seen whether all that will be enough for the Battlefield V Firestorm to compete with COD, Fortnite, PUBG, and even Apex Legends, which is the latest hit in the Battle Royale world.
