Dungeons in Anthem Look Great and the New Javelin Is Super Agile

Anthem Javelin

We are getting closer to the release of Anthem, a new game designed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is exciting to follow the game’s Twitch channel as the developers constantly publish new information. That is precisely what Polygon did when they discovered footage that offers dungeon gameplay.

Aside from that, the creators revealed Interceptor Javelin, a small but agile javelin that shouldn’t be underestimated. The EA claims on the official website that it can pack a punch despite its size, but it is the mobility that makes it especially useful.

We revealed another important feature expected in Anthem – dungeons. Int his game, they are called Strongholds. When it comes to how they look, we suggest checking out the trailer above. There may be some reminders of Destiny or World of Warcraft. If you visit The Temple of the Scar, you will notice multiple rooms.

A Partial Walkthrough of the Strongholds

The developers took their controllers and passed almost the entire dungeon by themselves. They encountered waves of enemies and were forced to use small explosives. Unfortunately, they decided against revealing the boss emphasizing that this is something players should experience themselves.

We also got some interesting insight about Anthem’s end-game. It is interesting to note that you will have the option to make teams consisting only of your friends or simply use the general matchmaking feature. That way those playing solo will find teammates in no time and for a squad for grinding and exploring dungeons.

However, it was emphasized that raids will be added to Anthem later. According to the developers, that won’t affect reaching the end-game or playing experience. They pinpoint there will be plenty of content and we just have to be patient until the release date on February 22nd, 2019.
