Mortal Kombat 11 Rooster

These 7 Fighters Are Confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11

The official release of Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled for April 23rd, 2019. Although there is more than two months left, we already have a list of confirmed fighters thanks to the official trailer. However, some characters are also rumoured to appear in the next instalment. Let’s take a look at what kind of roster we can expect in the upcoming sequel of the most popular fighting franchise.

Kano is a character that has been featured in the initial entry to the series in 1992. We know him for his eye laser, as well as smart use of knives and other weapons. The famous Black Dragon clan member will make a return in Mortal Kombat 11.

Liu Kang

He was omitted from the list of playable characters in MK XL, and it is still unconfirmed whether you can play as him in the upcoming release. However, we see him in the trailer, which means that the guy with the most famous bicycle kick in the world is set for another appearance.

Kung Lao

Kung Lao is a Shaolin monk that promoted peace until he was forced to show his combat skills. Although he is quite mobile and has a cool uppercut, his signature moves include the things he can do with his hat.

Scorpion and Sub Zero

These are two classic characters that have been around since the start of the franchise. We all know the “Get over here!” phrase used by Scorpion, as well as Sub Zeros abilities with ice. Nobody would be surprised if the players would be able to choose between different variants of these two fighters.

Dark Raiden

You all know the God of Thunder, but in MK 11, it is not exactly him that will be making an appearance. Instead, we will get to see an evil version of the characters also known as Dark Raiden. The difference is that this one uses red lightning. There is no confirmation, but the “usual” Raiden will probably play a part in the story, too.

Skarlet is a female ninja and a fairly recent character that first appeared in MK 9. She utilizes powers of blood magic, but the interesting part of her story is related to her creation. According to a rumour, a glitch enabled to play with Kitana dressed in red in Mortal Kombat 2. Skarlet’s character is based on that fact.

Apart from these, we can also expect Baraka, Sonya Blade, Geras, Shao Kahn, Spawn, and Kronika to make an appearance. Stay tuned for more news about the upcoming Mortal Kombat release.
